$15 Amazon Card Giveaway

Welcome to the Cat’s Meow Giveaway, hosted by The Mommy Island and The Kids Did It! This Giveaway is completely sponsored by ME, Hooks and Books!

In honor of the Kansas City Chiefs’ first Super Bowl win in 50 years, I want to give away an Amazon Gift Card!!

Did you watch the game?
Who were you cheering for?

I have always been a Chiefs fan – growing up in Missouri my whole life! I was super upset last year when we lost our chance at going to the Super Bowl after losing in overtime to the Patriots. And because I’m not really a big Patriots – or Tom Brady – fan, I was super happy when they were knocked out of the running this year!

The Chiefs definitely know how to make their fans nervous! Coming back from being down double digits in all of the playoff games this year to win them all, they’re a good team! I think my favorite thing that I saw (other than them winning) was when they knew they were going to win, you saw the camera going to Patrick Mahomes and you could read his lips saying “FINISH THE GAME”!!

So without further ado…

  1. I did not watch the game. I saw bits and pieces of the half time show online and I am not a fan of either singer.

  2. I did not watch the game I did however just watch the half time show yesterday on youtube. oth women put on a tremendous show. I’ve been taking belly dancing for a couple of years now and I can only dream to move my hips like them one day.

  3. I did not watch the game, but I did tune in at the very end… I loved it when the guy was making a “snow angel” in the confetti. 😂🥳
The halftime show was amazing! Shakira was especially brilliant. I think that JLo maybe should have reconsidered her wardrobe and choreography…

  4. Yes I watched the Super Bowl. My only thought about halftime show was “I’m 54 & couldn’t move like those two did when I was 24” .

    1. It was a nailbiter! I honestly thought The Chiefs were going to lose! Down 10 at the start of the final quarter!

  5. We watched the game. Yay Chiefs!! I’m neutral on the halftime show. I enjoyed the high energy, but I felt weird watching with my two boys. I

  6. I enjoyed the half-time show, especially Shakira! Lots of hate going on at Twitter saying the show was “too Latinx,” which I thought was really hateful.

  7. I didn’t watch the game but I did see the half time performance and I enjoyed it! I thought shakira and JLO did an awesome job!

  8. We did watch for a bit, but I had to take my kids out of the room so I missed a lot of it. I thought it was a bit much honestly.

  9. I didn’t watch the Superbowl this year. I did watch the halftime show online later though. I thought it was just fine. I think the outrage is really just par for the course.

  10. I did not watch the Superbowl but I thought the half time show was fun,I’m a big Shakira fan.

  11. Yes I watched the halftime show. I enjoyed it, but was definitely relieved that my grandsons were already in bed!

  12. I don’t like football but I did watch it because my husband does. I enjoy a few songs from both performers, I didn’t think it was anything crazy over the top and it was alright entertainment wise.

  13. I didn’t watch the superbowl but I did watch the half time show on Youtube later, and I thought it was really good. It fit J-Lo and Shakira’s style.

  14. I was born in KC and really have no interest in sports, but I did watch my late grandparents favorite team in the Super Bowl. I love Shakira & JLo’s voices & enjoyed their songs. Thought there was too much pelvis thrusting and gyrating, but I’m old. haha

  15. I did not watch the SuperBowl this year. I did however pull up the video on YouTube of Shakira and J. Lo to watch that afterwards after hearing all the chatter about it.

  16. I did watch the Superbowl. It was a great game. I definitely preferred the game over the halftime show.

  17. Yes, I watched it. I thought the half time show was just okay. I was more impressed with Shakira than JLo!

  18. I watched about 10 minutes of the Superbowl but I watched the halftime show online later. I though the energy was good but it was a little too flashy for kids.

  19. I watched the entire game, including the halftime show. What i thought of the halftime performance was energetic and lively from Shakira’s end, JLo, was struggling to even move closely to keep up. Overall, a good game and halftime show.

  20. I was traveling, so I missed the Superbowl, but I watched reruns of the commercials and half-time show on YouTube later. The half time show was amazing!

  21. I have not watched the half time show yet. I heard it was good so I need to check it out on youtube.

  22. I watched it nervously as I’m a big Chiefs fan and was so excited when they won. The half time show was good too.

  23. I didn’t watch it. I could care less about it (even though I am from the S.F. area and “my” team was playing!)

  24. Only saw about 5 min of the half time show and I thought it was great! Don’t watch football, so no game for me.

    1. The commercials are always great!! I think my favorite was probably the Sam Elliot/Doritos one! That man’s voice!!

  25. Watched and enjoyed the game even though I was supporting the 49ers. Kansas City played a great game! Loved the half-time show and quite a few of the commercials – and loved the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet earlier in the day!

  26. I’m not a sports fan, so I didn’t watch the Superbowl. I did watch the half-time show though since I’m a huge fan of Shakira and J-Lo. I thought it was awesome and impressive how they can still move like that. I do however think that it was too racy for the Superbowl. A lot of kids watch it and I don’t think it was appropriate for them to see.

  27. I watched it for the commercials. I loved the dancing for the most part but the outfits left a lot to be desired.

  28. I watched part of the half time show. I like Shakira and am amazed at how good JLo looks at 50 but stripper poles? Is this what the women’s movement from my generation fought so hard for?

  29. I didn’t watch the superbowl but my sister was cheering for the Chiefs and was excited that they won. I did not watch the half time show and glad I didn’t. Even if these women have great bodies, the clothes they were wearing, or weren’t wearing, is ridiculous. Not my idea of entertainment.

  30. I watched the Super Bowl and I thought the halftime show was great. Being that it was in Miami, I think a lot of people (Women included) weren’t thinking about the cultural influence and man I hope I look that good when I am their age!

  31. I watched the game and some of halftime. I can understand why some people didn’t think it was appropriate for kids.

  32. I watched the Superbowl, not a fan of the halftime show. I’m not pop music fan I wish they would bring in more old rock bands for the show.

  33. I watched part of the game, got distracted by a neighbor who started a small backyard fire with his grill. And my Mom was from Kansas City, GO CHIEFS!

  34. I watched the Super Bowl and the halftime show. I thought the show was okay-they looked good but I’m not the biggest fan of their songs.

  35. We typically have a party the day of the big game, but we’re not super invested in it. This year, we didn’t have a party and took our kids to the park. Didn’t realize until we got home that the game was on. We watched the rest of the game starting at halftime.

  36. I only watched the Superbowl for the halftime show, I loved it. Shakira has been one of my favorite artists since I was in middle school.
